Hello Everyone,
A lot of companies and enterprise firms have been upgrading their products with Generative AI in 2024. For me this week, Amazon and Anthropic certainly got the most of my attention.
Amazon’s CodeWhisperer is now called Q Developer. As of April 30th, 2024 Amazon Q, a generative AI-powered assistant for businesses and developers, is now generally available. Meanwhile Anthropic has an iOS app for Claude 3 and a neat Teams package. Anthropic announced a new Claude Team plan that offers collaborative features and higher usage limits that directly challenges ChatGPT Team.
While Amazon isn’t so clear about its product evolution, Q Developer appears to be an evolution of CodeWhisperer into something that’s much more broad. Anthropic’s Claude 3 traffic got a significant boost since Opus, it’s best model yet. Anthropic, which makes the Claude 3 family of AI models, is launching an iOS app and adding a second paid tier for groups to share access to the models.
Amazon and Anthropic two of the companies who have the most to gain from the Enterprise AI movement.

Amazon seems to also touch on the beginnings of the Agentic AI Movement. They want to facilitate the deployment of semi-autonomous AI agents that can perform various tasks will be a boon for software developers and office workers.

How to get Started with Amazon Q
Benefits
Amazon Q generates code, tests, debugs, and has multistep planning and reasoning capabilities that can transform and implement new code generated from developer requests.
Amazon Q also makes it easier for employees to get answers to questions across business data—such as company policies, product information, business results, code base, employees, and many other topics—by connecting to enterprise data repositories to summarize the data logically, analyze trends, and engage in dialogue about the data.
Similar to Copilot, customers can fine-tune Q Developer on their internal codebases to improve the relevancy of the tool’s programming recommendations.
