Everything at Computex Taipei International Information Technology Show 2024
Nvidia, AMD and the rest. Nvidia likely to hit 3 Trillion soon.
Hey Everyone,
I’m on a semi-break right now in June, so you may be getting less articles from me. I live in Taiwan, so I wanted to cover Computex, at least in passing.
COMPUTEX Taipei, or Taipei International Information Technology Show, is a computer expo held annually in Taipei, Taiwan. Since the early 2000s, it is one of the largest computer and technology trade shows in the world.
While I wasn’t at the event, I think due to Nvidia, it’s important to touch upon what was/is being talked about.
CNET’s summary of all that was mentioned works:
This year’s Taipei-based convention starts on June 4th and ends on June 7th.
CEO Jensen Huang has pledged to release new AI chip technology on a one-year basis, faster than the company’s previous two-year timeline. This is yet another moat for Nvidia’s leadership in AI chips now.
Nvidia’s AI accelerators have between 70% and 95% of the market share for artificial intelligence chips.
Orders for Blackwell architecture are already up, with Tesla and xAI joining the likes of Microsoft and Meta in demand, along with Amazon.
How High can Nvidia’s Valuation go?
It’s almost absurd if you understand AI and the markets. Nvidia’s shares jumped 27% in May, pushing the company’s market cap to $2.7 trillion.
This has meant a huge bull market around AI during the last year.
