So there’s a new paper by Microsoft to boost, you guessed it, GPT-4V. Will this read like the Sparks of AGI paper by Microsoft did as a PR stunt or prove for more credible?

And why is Microsoft using AI Scientists like bots on papers and on LinkedIn to try to keep ChatGPT and OpenAI top of mind? Because they have commercial incentives to do so.

Basically the politics of profit is eating media and even science alive. That’s what happens in a corrupt era of Monopoly capitalism. This technology will be used against citizens and users in the end to strength American Surveillance Capitalism too, but who cares right?
